Frédéric Wyrwalski was born in Lille (France) in 1978. He received his doctorate in chemistry at the University of «Littoral Côte d'Opale» in december 2005 under the direction of Professor Antoine Aboukaïs and Dr Jean Francois Lamonier in the «Laboratoire de Catalyse et Environment» (LCE). During his doctorate, he worked on the development of catalysts cobalt for the oxidation of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). He then obtained a post of «Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherches» in the LCE laboratory. During these two years, his research focused on the development of new catalysts used both in the reaction of catalytic oxidation of aromatic VOCs (toluene and xylene) and secondly on the reaction of reforming dry methane. In September 2007, he became «Maître de Conférences» at the University of Artois and joined the team chemistry and green environment in «LPCIA». His current work concerns the use of metallic nanoparticles supported in the field of heterogeneous catalysis.
