Michel Ferreira was born in 1982 in Liévin (France). He received his PhD degree in 2008 from the Artois University under the supervision of Pr E. Monflier at the UCCS. During these three years, he studied the properties of new catalytic systems based on «watersoluble catalysts/modified β-cyclodextrins» mixtures in homogeneous biphasic catalysis. He then spend one year as a post-doctoral fellow in the Homkat group of Pr. J.N.H Reek (University of Amsterdam), where he worked with J.I. van der Vlugt on the development of new catalysts for asymmetric hydroamination of biorenewable resources. In 2010 he became «Maître de Conférences» and joined UCCS with on the development of new homogeneous catalysis biphasic processes.
