Rudina Bleta
was born in Tirana, Albania in 1978. She received her B.Sc. in Physical-Chemistry and M.Sc. in Materials Chemistry, both from the University of Bordeaux, in 2002 and 2004 respectively. She completed her Ph.D. in Molecular Physical-Chemistry in the University of Nancy in 2007. Her dissertation focused on the synthesis and structural investigation of porous materials from fluorinated systems and their use as hosts for the immobilization of biomolecules. From 2007 to 2010 she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the CIRIMAT-Carnot Institute in the University of Toulouse. There, she was involved in academic and industrial projects of the Competitiveness Cluster Aerospace Valley for innovation in the area of materials chemistry. Her work focused on the development of nanostructured catalysts for the air purification in aircraft cabins as well as the elaboration of chromate free sol-gel coatings for corrosion inhibition of aluminum alloys. After a one year ATER position in the University of Nancy in 2010, she joined, in November 2011, the Professor Monflier’s team at the UCCS - Artois as a postdoctoral fellow where she worked on the preparation of rhodium nanoparticles for the aqueous biphasic hydroformylation in the presence of cyclodextrins. She was promoted to Associate Professor in September 2012 in the University of Artois. Her research expertise consists in developing new synthesis approaches, especially from soft chemistry routes, to design novel nanostructured porous materials, with a specific focus on the development of heterogeneous catalysts for environmental and sustainable energy applications.
